Role Overview

Checkmarx is looking for a motivated DevOps Engineer to join its expanding DevOps team in India. This role is ideal for professionals with foundational DevOps knowledge who want to gain hands-on experience working with enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure, automation frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines.

You will collaborate with senior engineers to support cloud operations, improve automation, and implement DevOps best practices in a highly supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

CI/CD & Automation

• Assist in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop automation scripts to enhance operational efficiency.
• Maintain and improve existing DevOps tools and workflows.

Cloud Operations

• Support cloud infrastructure primarily on AWS.
• Participate in deployment and release management processes.
• Monitor applications and troubleshoot infrastructure issues.

Collaboration & Documentation

• Work closely with development teams to support infrastructure needs.
• Document runbooks, technical procedures, and operational processes.
• Adopt modern DevOps practices and emerging technologies.
• Participate in on-call rotations with senior team support.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in DevOps, system administration, or related IT roles.
• Basic scripting knowledge (Python, Bash, or similar).
• Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Understanding of containerization tools like Docker.
• Basic Linux system administration knowledge.
• Exposure to CI/CD tools and concepts.
• Strong communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
• Excellent problem-solving ability and attention to detail.

Desired Skills

• Basic experience with Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
• Exposure to monitoring and observability tools.
• Knowledge of Git or version control systems.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Cloud Practitioner or CKA are a plus.
