Join EDF Energy as a DevOps Apprentice and help shape the future of low-carbon energy in the UK. This multi-year Level 4 DevOps Engineer Apprenticeship (delivered by QA) combines hands-on cloud platform experience with fully funded training.

You will work within Azure Cloud Platform and DevOps Platform teams, supporting large-scale enterprise cloud environments across Nuclear IT Services.

What You’ll Learn

• Operating and supporting AWS or Azure cloud platforms
• Core DevOps practices and automation
• Platform reliability concepts (SLIs & SLOs)
• CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
• Infrastructure monitoring and optimization
• Modern engineering and cloud-native tooling

Key Responsibilities

• Support cloud platform operations across development and production
• Assist with deployment, provisioning, and automation
• Collaborate with Technical Leads and Product Owners
• Contribute to platform reliability and performance
• Work within Nuclear IT Services digital teams

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet one of the following:

• 5 GCSEs (A*–C / 9–4) including English & Maths + Level 3 Software Apprenticeship
• STEM A-Level + QA Aptitude Test
• BTEC Diploma in IT + QA Aptitude Test
• 2 years relevant work experience + QA Aptitude Test

Additional Requirements:

• Right to work in the UK
• Eligible for SC Security Clearance (5 of last 10 years UK residency)
