Key Responsibilities

AWS Infrastructure & Cloud Operations

• Design, deploy, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure following best practices
• Work with AWS services including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, ELB/ALB, Auto Scaling, CloudFront
• Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, security, and scalability of cloud environments

Automation & DevOps

• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation
• Automate deployments, configuration management, and operational tasks
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline

Security & Compliance

• Implement AWS security best practices (IAM policies, VPC security, encryption, access controls)
• Support security audits and compliance requirements
• Monitor vulnerabilities and apply timely remediation

Monitoring & Reliability

• Configure monitoring, logging, and alerting using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, AWS Config
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis (RCA)
• Implement backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies

Collaboration & Support

• Work closely with application developers, SRE, and platform teams
• Participate in design reviews, incident management, and on-call support (if applicable)
• Create and maintain documentation, SOPs, and runbooks

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services
• Experience in Linux/Unix system administration
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation
• Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps workflows
• Solid understanding of networking concepts (VPC, subnets, routing, security groups)
• Proficiency with Git and version control systems

Good to Have

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS)
• Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Shell
• Knowledge of serverless architectures (AWS Lambda, API Gateway)
• Exposure to cost optimization and FinOps practices
• AWS Certifications (Associate or Professional level)

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
