Job Overview

ARTPARK @ IISc is hiring a GenAI DevOps Intern to support the deployment and reliability of an AI-powered internal web application. This role sits within ARTPARK’s Data Science team and is ideal for candidates passionate about DevOps, Cloud, GenAI infrastructure, and production systems.

You’ll own CI/CD, infrastructure, monitoring, and operational reliability while working alongside researchers and domain experts from IISc.

What You Will Do

• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
• Configure monitoring & alerting (uptime, disk usage, service health)
• Manage production deployments using nginx, systemd, SSL/TLS
• Configure cloud storage sync and automated backups (AWS S3)
• Build and maintain a staging environment for pre-deployment testing
• Write Dockerfiles and Docker Compose setups
• Centralize logging using Grafana/Loki, CloudWatch, or similar
• Assist with load testing and performance benchmarking

Requirements

Must Have

• Linux server administration (Ubuntu/Debian, systemd, nginx, SSH)
• Git & GitHub workflows (branches, PRs, merges)
• Python basics (read code, run tests, manage virtual environments)
• Networking fundamentals (ports, DNS, reverse proxies, SSL/TLS)
• Self-directed and able to execute tasks independently
• Familiarity with LLMs and GenAI tooling
• Ability to evaluate models (accuracy, latency, cost trade-offs)
• Interest in model optimization (quantization, distillation, fine-tuning)

Nice to Have

• Docker & container workflows
• AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, CloudWatch)
• CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
• Monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana)
• Model serving frameworks (Ollama, vLLM, or similar)
