Role Details

Position: DevOps Intern
Location: Chicago, Illinois, USA (Hybrid)
Employment Type: Part-Time Internship
Pay Rate: $20 – $43 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Build and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and modern DevOps tools
• Automate DevOps and DevSecOps workflows for improved efficiency and security
• Deploy and manage AI/ML models on AWS and Azure cloud platforms
• Implement continuous security practices using tools like Veracode and Wiz
• Monitor cloud applications and troubleshoot issues using automated anomaly detection
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve system performance and reliability

Technical Skills Required

Cloud & Infrastructure

• Basic knowledge of AWS Cloud (preferred) and exposure to Azure
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure, virtual machines, and networking

DevOps & CI/CD

• Hands-on or academic experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred)
• Understanding of software development lifecycle and deployment workflows

Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

• Familiarity with Terraform or similar IaC tools

Programming & Automation

• Proficiency in Java and Python programming
• Ability to automate workflows and build scripts

Security & Monitoring

• Basic knowledge of DevSecOps practices and security scanning tools
• Understanding of monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting cloud systems

Eligibility Criteria

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Strong fundamentals in cloud computing and DevOps concepts
• Interest in cloud automation, AI deployment, and infrastructure engineering
• Good communication and collaboration skills
