Role Details

Position: DevOps Engineer I
Location: Chennai, India
Employment Type: Full-Time
Experience: 1–3 Years
Work Model: Onsite / Hybrid (as per company policy)
Shift: IST (Includes on-call rotation every 2 weeks)

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement automation for large-scale distributed systems
• Build tools to improve availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency
• Collaborate with engineering teams for high-quality software delivery
• Monitor production and development environments
• Implement preventive measures and reliability improvements
• Work with delivery teams to improve system performance and uptime
• Participate in incident management and on-call support rotations
• Follow SRE best practices and continuous improvement processes

Technical Skills Required

Cloud & Infrastructure

• Experience with AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Exposure to private cloud (OpenStack, VMware ESXi)

Containerization & Orchestration

• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes (GKE preferred)
• Knowledge of Helm for deployment management

CI/CD & DevOps Tools

• Experience with GitLab, ArgoCD, and CI/CD pipelines
• Understanding of DevOps methodologies and automation workflows

Infrastructure as Code & Automation

• Experience with Terraform (IaC)
• Scripting knowledge in Python or similar languages
• Familiarity with Ansible or Puppet

Monitoring & Systems

• Experience with Prometheus or LogicMonitor
• Strong understanding of Linux (CentOS/Ubuntu)
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
