Role Details

Position: DevOps Engineer Intern
Location: Cleveland, Ohio, USA
Employment Type: Internship (Co-op)

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks for infrastructure automation
  • Refactor and optimize existing infrastructure code
  • Work with GitLab CI to test and validate infrastructure pipelines
  • Assist in system maintenance and day-to-day DevOps operations
  • Monitor infrastructure using Datadog and troubleshoot issues
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for systems and workflows
  • Collaborate with DevSecOps engineers and work under mentorship
  • Gain hands-on experience in DevOps, automation, and SDLC processes

Technical Skills Required

Linux & Systems

  • Working knowledge of Linux-based operating systems
  • Understanding of system administration fundamentals

DevOps & Automation

  • Experience or exposure to Ansible (Infrastructure Automation)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI preferred)
  • Understanding of DevOps lifecycle and SDLC practices

Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

  • Exposure to OpenTofu / Terraform concepts
  • Basic understanding of cloud-native infrastructure

Monitoring & Observability

  • Familiarity with tools like Datadog for monitoring and troubleshooting

Programming & Scripting

  • Basic coding experience (Python, Bash, or similar)
  • Ability to automate tasks and write simple scripts

Eligibility Criteria

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and organizational abilities
  • Interest in DevOps, Cloud, and Infrastructure Engineering
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States (No visa sponsorship)
