Marc Ellis is currently hiring a Junior DevOps Engineer to join a leading enterprise technology team supporting cloud subscription accounts and infrastructure operations.

This role offers a great opportunity for professionals who want to gain hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, Kubernetes infrastructure, CI/CD automation, and DevOps security practices.

As part of the DevOps team, you will contribute to cloud infrastructure automation, vulnerability remediation, deployment pipelines, and infrastructure monitoring, while collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams.

Role Details

Position: Junior DevOps Engineer
Location: Bangalore, India
Experience: 1–3 Years
Contract Type: 6-Month Contract

Key Responsibilities

• Support patch management and vulnerability remediation activities across cloud infrastructure
• Review and update NSG (Network Security Group) rules and resolve security alerts
• Assist in Kubernetes EKS deployments, scaling, and troubleshooting containerized applications
• Manage and maintain DevOps CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD and artifact repositories
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Ansible
• Work with AWS cloud environments to manage compute, networking, and storage resources
• Assist in implementing security best practices for cloud infrastructure and DevOps pipelines
• Monitor and troubleshoot application deployments and infrastructure performance issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, security teams, and operations engineers
• Maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, and operational runbooks

Technical Skills Required

Cloud Platforms

• Strong understanding of Amazon Web Services (AWS) core services
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure management and cloud security best practices
• Exposure to API Gateway services and cloud networking

DevOps & CI/CD

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD
• Knowledge of build automation, artifact repositories, and release management
• Understanding of DevOps automation workflows

Containerization & Orchestration

• Experience with Docker containers and Kubernetes orchestration
• Hands-on exposure to Amazon EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service)

Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

• Knowledge of Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Ansible
• Understanding of automated infrastructure provisioning

Scripting & Automation

• Experience with Bash scripting or Python automation
• Ability to automate deployment, monitoring, and system tasks

Security & Monitoring

• Knowledge of patching strategies and vulnerability remediation
• Familiarity with SSL security, headers, and cipher configurations
• Experience with logging and monitoring tools such as ELK Stack or AppDynamics

System Administration

• Basic experience with Linux system administration
• Understanding of server troubleshooting, networking, and system logs

Education
