Key Responsibilities

• Assist in installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux-based servers
• Support Linux system administration and infrastructure operations
• Monitor server health, system logs, and performance metrics
• Assist in troubleshooting Linux server issues and production incidents
• Support system upgrades, patches, and security updates
• Work with senior engineers to maintain high availability and system reliability
• Perform basic performance tuning and system optimization
• Assist in maintaining server documentation and operational procedures
• Help manage user permissions, system configurations, and access controls
• Support infrastructure monitoring and incident response processes

Technical Skills Required

Linux System Administration

• Strong understanding of Linux operating systems (RHEL / CentOS / Ubuntu)
• Knowledge of Linux command-line tools and shell environments
• Understanding of system processes, file systems, and package management

Server Management

• Basic knowledge of Linux server installation and configuration
• Familiarity with user management, permissions, and system services
• Exposure to system monitoring and log analysis

Networking Fundamentals

• Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking
• Knowledge of DNS, SSH, and remote server access

Scripting & Automation

• Basic exposure to Bash scripting or Shell scripting
• Interest in automation for system administration tasks

Monitoring & Troubleshooting

• Ability to analyze system logs and server performance
• Basic troubleshooting skills for Linux servers and applications

Education & Certification

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Engineering or related field
• RHCE (Red Hat Certified Engineer) course completed or pursuing
• Strong interest in Linux System Administration and Cloud Infrastructure
